Vegan Mayonnaise Recipe
You will need:
- 50 ml of soy milk
- 100 ml of olive oil
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon of white vinegar (or lemon juice, if you prefer)
In a glass or jar pour the soy milk, the oil, the salt and the vinegar. Blend all ingredients with your blender, until the mixture becomes thick and smooth. Your healthy vegan mayonnaise will be ready in a few seconds! Pour it into a bowl and serve it to your guests. Be careful not to blend too long. Stop when it reaches the right consistency.
This is the basic recipe. Depending on your taste, you can check out other tasty combinations: the option with mustard, tomato, beetroot or chives; simply add the additional ingredients in the preparation process. Furthermore, if you want your healthy mayonnaise to be more similar to the traditional one, you can add a little bit of turmeric that will give the yellow shade. Enjoy your homemade vegan mayonnaise recipe!
The mayonnaise can be stored for about 4-5 days in the fridge, just make sure that the container is covered properly.
DON’ T FORGET: It’s vegan but just like regular mayo it’s pretty much made of oil, so if you try to keep your diet low fat- it best to use it sparingly!
